Inaugural Pineywood Bull City Open Pickleball Tournament

From March 1st to 3rd, we had the pleasure of hosting the inaugural Pineywood Bull City Open Pickleball Tournament alongside the Durham Area Pickleball Players. This exciting event featured both doubles and singles matches spanning over three action-packed days. Each day, attendees were treated to a variety of delights including food trucks, a beer tent, vendors offering gifts and snacks, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed sponsors, Chiropractic Partners, NC Center for Physical Therapy, Durham Sports Comand Edward Jones, whose generous support made this event possible. With a remarkable turnout of 419 registrants and 397 active players, the tournament was a resounding success.

It's worth noting that all proceeds from the event were dedicated to the enhancement of local parks and amenities in Durham. We are pleased to announce that 50% of the proceeds were allocated to the Durham Parks Foundation, while the other half benefited the Durham Area Pickleball Players. This shared commitment to community betterment underscores the collaborative spirit that makes events like these so meaningful.

A special thank you goes out to the Durham Area Pickleball Players for co-hosting this event with us. Your unwavering support and dedication were truly invaluable, and we are immensely grateful for your partnership.

We express our deepest appreciation to everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported the Pineywood Bull City Open Pickleball Tournament. Your contributions have made a lasting impact on our local community, and we look forward to many more successful events in the future.
